Headache Cure

I have had a killer headache all day. So far nothing has helped. That is until one of the producers in my office came in with Strawn's Pie! It turns out that the Kings Hwy Strawn's around 3:00 when they are getting ready to close is a really great place to be! He got two almost full strawberry pies, 2 slices of coconut, and about a third of a chocolate pie. Thank you Lord for Strawn's strawberry pie. I think I can feel my head getting better with every bite!
(Forgive my pitiful cell phone photo. One day I will have an iPhone...)

In other news! This morning around 7:15 am, Matt accepted the job at Northrop Grumman. He starts July 30th. Hopefully that will give us a little bit of time to find somewhere to live. He will move down there at the end of this month, and I will follow in a month or two. Basically, I am ready for the one or two months to be over already... I'm a little impatient. I have dreams of strolling around the aquarium, sno balls, running around Audubon park, and Saturday mornings at Cafe du Monde. If only I could convince this girl and Rockstar to move down there, too. It could be a good time!

What a week!

So when I was little, 3, 4, 5 years old I had this small, wooden guitar - think country to the max. I ran around the house jumping on couches and jamming with my guitar. My song of choice was "Bad" by Michael Jackson, and I truly thought I was bad! I also, all apparent physical differences aside, thought that Michael Jackson was my brother. My family would ask me how my brother was doing. I would tell them that he was good or that he was off playing a concert. They would then ask how my sisters Janet and La Toya were doing. I had no idea what they were talking about, because my only sister was Deni. It was just me, Deni, and Michael. And I was happy with that.
I get made fun of a lot for the Michael J mix cd that is always in my car. But I am definitely true to myself. Matt and I even entered out wedding reception to "Bad." I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Yesterday Micheal J died just 2 months shy of his 51st birthday. Today I mourn his loss. He was without a doubt the best performer of all time.

Crazy week! These legends also died:

Voodoo Fest Anyone?

Yesterday was a day full of emotions for me. They have not stopped, actually. My mind is running a million miles a minute trying to fully comprehend and control the fact that Matt got a job offer yesterday. He will be accepting by Monday.
Emotions
1. Excitement! Matt got a job.
2. Sad. We will have to move.
3. Excitement! We get to start over and try something on our own for once.
3. Scared. We get to start over and try something on out own for once.
4. Excited! I get to use all of the awesome wedding gifts I got last year that have been collecting dust in mom's house.
5. Sad. I am going to be VERY far away from my sister.
6. Excited! We are finally going to have a closet and a dishwasher!
7. Sad. We are probably not going to have a backyard for the 4-legged kids anymore.
8. Excited! I get to quit my job. I do not think insurance is supposed to be a life-long career for me.
9. Scared. What am I going to be when I grow up?
10. Excited! Will have a new place to decorate, organize, and make a home.
11. Sad. Will not have Brian, Kandi, and Aubrey in my back yard anymore.
12. Excited! A new and positive outlook for me and Matt.
13. Sad. I will be lonely without Matt for a few months as he goes down ahead of me to get settled in while I continue to work.
14. Excited! There's so much to do in New Orleans.
15. Sad. I will have no friends and family there do enjoy said fun New Orleans stuff.

So... who wants to go to Voodoo Fest this year?

Apparently I missed Xanga...

So on this insignificant June day I will pay homage to my days as mu4lyfe and return to the blogging world as Beautiful Beef.
